“Makibaka, huwag magbaboy.”

Makibaka is a filipino term meaning 'struggle'. During the Martial Law, it was also used in the phase "Makibaka! Wag Matakot! Which when translated to english means, "Struggle! Do not be afraid!"

On National Heroes Day, "Makibaka, huwag magbaboy" chants fill the air as hundreds of thousands protesters expressed outrage over the misused billions of pesos in the taxpayer's money and called for the government to completely abolish the pork barrel system.

The protesters reminded the public to scrutinize not just the PDAF but the pork barrel of the President and other executive officials as well.

Our generation wants the government to know that a certain limit has been reached.

Hear our call. "Ang buwis ay para sa tao hindi sa mga gago. Jail the guilty."

No to Pork. Yes to F.O.I. Completely abolish Pork Barrel system. Approve the Freedom of Information.

Massive Gathering. Protesters came from different provinces just to call the attention of the government and its corrupt officials.

Huwag mag baboy. "Scrap the Pork Barrel NOW!"

Pork Barrel rebranded. Not Abolished. "Kung wala na kayong hiya.. Maawa man lang sana kayo!"

'Presidential Pork' still maintained. Abolish Aquino's Pork Barrel and Reallocate the funds to social services.

Women Empowerment. The scam has provoked public outrage, with calls being made to demand Janet Napoles to squeal the other politicians involved in the misuse of PDAF.

Is Patience Really A Virtue? We want to see serious intention and a change made by the government.

UNLIKE. The "thumbs down" sign only shows that the people are not in favor with the pork barrel system of the government.

Every color, Every hue. Flags from different countries also supports the call to scrap PDAF

Three Stars and a Sun. The Philippine flag is present in almost every corner of the Rizal Park.

Artsy Fartsy. Everyone brought their own streamers and signage that contains different messages. Some wore pig masks and pig headdress, while others brought a real pig along with them. Different gimiks to show the government what they are trying to protest.

Finding Janet. "Janet, here na me... where na u??"

OOTD Filipino activists wore different shirts that conveys their message to the government against the corruption of pork barrel.

Bravo! "I don't need sex. My government fucks me everyday."

I think you owe us at least a little respect. "We pay our taxes, on-time and In-full. You, our government owe us a full explanation."

Do not make us angry. Protesters agreed that there has to be a definite plan to ensure the abolition of the pork barrel system.

Legit. Certified taxpayers wore Anti-pork barrel T-shirts to express how they felt about the issue.

"If you do face reality, you will see that reality has a cold, hard stare. How many can stand up to that unblinking, indifferent gaze?"

Much needed R & R. A little creativity goes a long way.

Goal! After the event, everyone just seems to have a positive outlook in life. An opposite view from the heated protest that happened earlier that day.

Facing Reality. If it were not for the legislators who misused billions of pesos in the taxpayers' money, these kids should be reading books and not collecting garbage at a young age.

Every end is just a new beginning. "These are not dark days: these are great days- the greatest days our country has ever lived."
