LET THE RAIN WASH AWAY ALL THE PAIN OF YESTERDAY
by Marie Samantha V. Samson

"Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby."

It's official, the rainy season has set in. Unfortunately, It may last until the end of October.
So, we must always be ready and carry bucket loads of patience with us because heavy traffic and floods all over the metro will be expected.

GREEN GREEN GRASS OF HOME. Due to heavy rains and extreme flooding, classes in PLM were suspended.

SOAKED. Part of the field that is drenched in water.

DARKNESS. Storm clouds forming over Pamantasan.

DEVOTION. Looking at the water droplets that are traveling across our car window.

WORK HARD FOR THE MONEY. A kid pushing a pedicab just so it could pass the knee-deep water.

NON-STOP WORKING. A policeman continued to assist all the vehicles to avoid traffic

GUTTER DEEP. Few people fearlessly cross the gutter-deep water infront of the Manila City Hall

WALKIN SOLO. An old man walking with his pants and shoes soaked in flood.

STRIVING HARD. A pedicab driver braved the flooded streets of Lawton.

DAPITAN RIVER. Non-stop raining caused the streets of dapitan to be flooded.

Today felt like i have been to hell and back.

But despite the flood, traffic, and heavy rains, I was able to get home safe and sound.

I'm glad that i was also able to capture moments from this bittersweet day.
